finishing up

i am happy with the final product and i am happy with the audio mix. i tried out garage band and it was really fun. A new software Soundtrack Pro was also introduce with i think if we have proper lessons on that we can easily replace it with pro tools because with this program we can easily transfer our files from Final Cut to this program.

one problem we face was the rendering of the video as we shoot our video in a wrong format, it clashes with the final cut pro than we have to change the settings and stuff. documentation was quite thick as i think is because we got 2 different shoot in it.

Overall i am quite happy with the group as we manage to do 2 shoots in such a short time.. but rather i think that if we manage to plan properly, we can use our efforts all into 1 shoot and it will come out better.

Its is good experience working with this group as my first impression wasn't that good. but as time went passed, i have learn to take in the good points of others and try to make the whole thing good.

Editing

we did a cut out of the video already.. audio part is really disgusting.. trying to find a way to save it. quite happy with this shoot as there is less continuity error only 3 if i really spotted it. colour was alright though i think that the story line is not that story. but we did portray the story of the hare and tortoise.

after shoot

The whole shoot went fine. everything was on time and we got the shots we want. Glenn really portray the whole character well and the team work together to get things done. The weather was good for the stadium scene and character wise are well portray.

1 thing that i am worried about is the sound that is recorded.. the mixer gave us problem but firstly i thought that is the ambiance sound for the IT school. but after that we found out that the mixer is giving us the problem. so that the only thing that affect us.

Problems encounter before shoot

the problems we encounter was booking of the stadium and talent casting. we asked around for many days but still cant get the cast. until the last resort, kym brother agreed to help us 1 day before the shoot and i agreed to act as the nerd because we could not find any other cast.

and we cant shoot indoor because the school is doing floor polishing. We were lucky that the school approve us to continue our shoot using the running tracks.

Planning for Check me out

we started with hare and tortoise as a race.. think from nerd to smarty.. but was thinking how do we lengthen the story. so van thought of an idea to make smarty to dream of him winning the race. than lose it during the real life. so we thought of how to portray it like what situation is best to bring out the characters. and finally we though of it.

so JunKai will be the director for this shoot thinking of shots and script. I will be handling Storyboard, props and wardrobe references. Atika handle location and shooting script, van doing the schedule and master breakdown. Carmen did the script too.
